Dr Joe Wilder as a surgeon and artist bridges the world between science and art in his paintings. Wilder’s images of the world of surgery are unique as he captures the realistic world of surgery today. His long experience in the operating room brings a new dimension to medical art.”
I have tried in my surgical paintings to portray the surgeon dedicated, caring, hard working individual I have observed by the thousands in my thirty-five year career as a Chief and Professor of surgery. Still, my surgeon series is but an extension of the joys I have experienced ‘as a surgeon’. “ Joe Wilder M.D.

A Giclee is an excellent reproduction of the original painting on canvas. Giclees are a higher print quality than the traditional lithography and are more expensive to reproduce. Gicleeis a French term (pronounced “jee-clay”) which means to spray ink.
Many museums across the world have either hanging exhibitions of Giclees or have purchased prints for their permanent collections.
Our Giclees are printed on the same high quality canvas as original paintings.
